Introduction
Scientists throughout the world depend on the Rocky Mountain MS Center Tissue Bank to supply high quality samples to support their research. Funded in part by the National MS Society, our Tissue Bank is one of only a few MS-related tissue banks in the nation. The Tissue Bank has distributed specimens to hundreds of investigators worldwide and thousands of people have consented to be donors after death.
Tissue banks provide a unique bridge between those who live with MS and the scientific community. Studies conducted with samples from our Tissue Bank have led to several important discoveries multiple scientific publications. While deeply personal, the decision to donate has far-reaching effects as scientists unlock the mysteries of multiple sclerosis.
