Volunteer!

Friends of the MS Center are an integral part of our organization. There are many ways you can be of service.

The MS Young Professionals Network (MSYPN)
provides an opportunity for young professionals to support the work of the Rocky Mountain MS Center and raise awareness of the prevalence of multiple sclerosis in Colorado through networking, fundraising and volunteer events. Wine tastings, BBQ’s, and Drag Queen Bingo are some of the fun events MSYPN has participated in. Contact Katie Mills at 303-788-4030 ext 111 to learn more.

The MS Center Outreach Team (MSCOT) assist with patient education seminars, and MS Center special events.  They will assist with registration, work at the MS Center Exhibit, assist participants needing help at seminars and answer questions about MS Center programs and services.  MSCOT members serve as the Ambassadors of the Rocky Mountain MS Center and may visit and speak to other agencies on a variety of topics related to MS.

The King Adult Day Enrichment Program (KADEP) is an innovative, community-based and cost-effective day program alternative to nursing home placement for younger adults with MS, brain injury and other neurological conditions. KADEP appreciates the time and dedication volunteers offer our clients and our program. Volunteers and interns are essential in every facet of our operation, from assisting with clerical duties and facilitating activity groups, to partnering participants in the Hydrotherapy program. To learn more about volunteering at KADEP, please contact Michelle King at 303-433-6887 x126 or Jessi Williams at 303-433-6887 x129.

Hydrotherapy is a unique water exercise program that offers individuals who can no longer stand or walk the opportunity to exercise in an upright position. Volunteers are needed to assist participants both in and out of the water. Contact Michele Harrison at 720-273-7461 to learn more.

The MS Center Guild organizes one major fund-raising event each year and has raised more than one million dollars for people living with MS and their families. In addition, Guild members enjoy several annual social functions such as a Spring Luncheon, a Fall Membership Luncheon and an annual Holiday Gathering. Contact Liz Otero at 303-788-4030 ext 114 to learn more.
