Volunteer Spotlight: Stacey

By April 24, 2017February 7th, 2022eMS News

April 23-29, 2017 is National Volunteer Week! Please join us as we thank the wonderful volunteers who help us fulfil our mission: To improve the quality of life of individuals and their families living with MS and related neurological diseases through care, support, education and research. #NVW

The Rocky Mountain MS Center is bringing back our MS Young Professionals Network, and one of the first members to join was Stacey Berlinger. Stacey has volunteered with the Rocky Mountain MS Center for two years, and became involved when her sister was diagnosed with MS. Stacey wanted to find ways to give back while advocating for MS.

Stacey is such a great volunteer because she is willing to help out wherever there is a need. She assists at our third party fundraisers, served on our Multiples Summits for MS (MS4MS) Committee, helps out at our King Adult Day Enrichment Program (KADEP), assists with our MSYPN meet ups, and has served on our Drag Queen Bingo Committee for 2 years.

Not only is Stacey a great volunteer, but she has also helped recruit members for our MSYPN and is great at connecting her family and friends to the Rocky Mountain MS Center. We know we can always rely on Stacey to get the word out about our mission, events, and programs. We are so thankful that Stacey chose to volunteer at the Rocky Mountain MS Center, and we look forward to planning more MSYPN events together.

If you’re a young professional looking for volunteer activities, networking opportunies, and social engagement with people who have MS or a connection/interest in MS, we’d love to have you join our MSYPN! To learn more, check out our MSYPN page and/or contact Sarah Kyger at skyger@mscenter.org.
