The Community First Foundation has created a link between giving and the community. GivingFirst is the Foundation’s new online tool designed to enrich donors’ knowledge about the nonprofit sector and encourage charitable giving in metropolitan Denver. Whenever credit card donations are made through GivingFirst, Community First Foundation pays the credit card processing fees, which typically are three percent per gift. This means that 100 percent of gifts made through GivingFirst goes directly to the Rocky Mountain MS Center. Additionally in 2007, the Foundation has committed $100,000 in matching funds to participating nonprofits through GivingFirst.org at 50 cents for every dollar, up to $5,000 per participating nonprofit.
