KADEP provided me hope!

"It has been a little over a year since I came to KADEP; and what a year it's been.

When I came to KADEP, I did not want to be here. It was the last place on earth I wanted to be. I had been diagnosed with MS about six months before. I was angry, frustrated and scared. All I really wanted to do was stay in my house and play the isolation game. But fate had other plans.

So off to KADEP I came - I saw - I stayed. Why? Because over the past year I have unfolded like a rose. I attribute that to may relationship with the staff and participants. The love and support I experience at KADEP is a constant healing in my life. I have grown immensely in this past year.

Anger has changed to motivation -frustration into patience - and fear to courage.

I wish to thank the staff and participants for traveling with me on my journey. KADEP is a source of great inspiration and hope for many. Above all, KADEP is people... people giving and sharing; touching the very core of my being with their love."

“I do believe my hopes will be realized, thanks to the wonderful care I receive from the Rocky Mountain MS Center. It is comforting to know that the Rocky Mountain MS Center is not only encouraging me, but so many others living with MS to live life to the fullest."

“I have observed the KADEP staff at work for a number of years and am most impressed with its expert training and knowledge. Equally important, the people who work at KADEP have provided loving and empathetic care of Martha and the other KADEP clients. Martha and I are very fortunate to have been a part of KADEP."

“Since the early stages of my daughter Claire's disease, the Rocky Mountain Multiple Sclerosis Center has been an integral part of her care--medically, physically and emotionally. It gives us great peace of mind to know that she can count on its dedicated staff to address her needs or to recommend the appropriate alternative source.”

Jean Sanwick (mother of Claire)

"For me, the most important thing about hydrotherapy is that I am in a totally safe environment. The volunteers, who are so good at what they do, make sure you are safe while transferring in and out of the pool. While in the water, no matter how bad your gait is, you are always safe because if you fall, you are only falling into the water. So, it's a very wonderful place to exercise! If I miss a class, I feel my energy level go down. I also don't walk as well, and I really feel a difference in my strength. There is a specific abdominal exercise that, at first, I could only do five. Now, about one year later, I am able to do thirty. I can really see the improvement with my body tone and my ability to move and with my endurance. It's really, really helpful, and it's a wonderful place to go, because the people are so kind and caring, and they're really good at what they do!"

Laura Conant, Hydrotherapy Participant
