Benefits of Hydrotherapy

Individual Hydrotherapy Programs

Individual hydrotherapy sessions are facilitated by a licensed Physical Therapist with specialized certification and training. This one-to-one program may include shallow and deep-water exercise and water walking. Watsu, Halliwick, and Jahara therapy techniques may also be utilized. This service is scheduled individually and billed through insurance or paid for privately.

Community Hydrotherapy Programs*

Two-hour hydrotherapy sessions are offered weekly: Tuesday afternoons (1-3 pm)at Englewood Recreation Center located at 1155 W. Oxford Ave, Englewood, CO 80013 (view map) and Friday mornings (9:30-11:30am) at Athmar Recreation Center located at 2680 W Mexico Ave, Denver, CO 80219 (view map). Shallow-water and deep-water exercise, water walking and adaptive aquatics are offered. A social gathering with refreshments follows each session. The cost for the Community Hydrotherapy Program is $35 per calendar year. The Athmar pool requires an additional $10 annual pass.

MS Hydrotherapy Classes

At the Englewood pool location, Ai Chi (water-based Tai Chi) and shallow/deep water strengthening and endurance classes are offered. Classes will be Mondays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. The cost for the 10-week session is $125.00. Please contact Michele Harrison to register or if you have any further questions. 

The Meyers Pool in Arvada, located is at 7900 Carr Dr. Arvada, CO 80005 (view map), is the site of Deep Water and Shallow Water MS Exercise Classes. These classes are offered in ongoing sessions and require an additional fee. Please contact Julie Buderus or Michele Harrison for information.
