Rehabilitation Clinic
The Rehab Clinic is designed to provide a thorough evaluation in a short period of time. Individuals experiencing problems in physical, psychological, and cognitive functioning are ideal candidates for this interdisciplinary clinic.
During the clinic, rehabilitation professionals meet individually with clients and family members to complete assessments. After assessments are completed, the team meets to discuss client-centered treatment recommendations. The team is led by
Karen Theriot, MD,
a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, and includes a licensened occupational therapist, a physical therapist, a speech-language pathologist, and a clinical social worker.
The professionals work with the client and family to assure recommendations fit within their goals and resources. When indicated, referrals are made to appropriate resources in the community.
Individuals with documented MS who need assessment in two or more areas of function are appropriate for referral. If you or someone you know seems appropriate, ask your physician for a referral to the clinic. You may also call the Rocky Mountain MS Center for more information about the clinic or discuss your needs 303-788-4030 X103.
