Gina Berg

Gina has two decades of experience as a nonprofit executive. Prior to joining the Rocky Mountain MS Center, she served as a major gifts officer for the Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Foundation and as director of development for the Denver affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Her professional history also includes positions as executive director of the Argyle Foundation and development coordinator at Red Rocks Community College Foundation.

Before moving into the nonprofit world, she worked in broadcast journalism for nine years as a producer, writer and editor.

She is a member of Colorado Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, where she previously served on the board of directors and chaired the local mentoring program.

A Colorado native, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she majored in journalism.

Widely recognized as one of the world’s leading experts in multiple sclerosis, Dr. Timothy Vollmer brings three decades of remarkable experience to the Rocky Mountain MS Center. In addition to serving as our Medical Director, Dr. Vollmer is a faculty member at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and Co-Director of the Rocky Mountain MS Center at Anschutz Medical Campus, a collaborative effort of the University of Colorado and the Rocky Mountain MS Center.

In 2011, Dr. Vollmer was recognized by US News and World Report in the top 1% of all specialists in the United States. He joins us following six years as the Van Denburgh Professor at Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) where he served as Director of the Neuroimmunology and MS Programs.

He built BNI’s MS Program to include a large clinic, an active lab investigating antigen-based therapies, a vibrant clinical research program, and an international registry collecting data on over 32,000 patients. Under his leadership, the Institute’s MS Program was honored as a Center of Excellence by the Consortium of MS Centers. Dr. Vollmer is a graduate of Stanford University School of Medicine and a former faculty member at the Yale School of Medicine.
